Baby Products

There are baby products for every conceivable situation or activity you might encounter with a baby.    A surprising number of these are products for simply transporting baby from one place to another, like Baby Strollers, slings, front carriers, and backpacks.    (And car Safety Seats are a whole different topic; see Baby Safety Products.) Then there are products for feeding baby: breastfeeding products like nursing pillows, breast pads, and pumps, and Baby Bottle systems for breast milk or formula feeding.    Completely aside from Baby Clothes are soft accessories like Baby Blankets and carseat covers, and cozy wraps to keep baby warm in a stroller.    And don't forget Baby Books and keepsake boxes for all the little memories and mementoes of the first year with baby.

The best baby products are the ones you need and use the most, and they may be quite different for you than for other people you know.    Some people have three different Baby Strollers-a lightweight one for quick neighborhood trips, a larger one that fits in the car trunk and carries a day's worth of necessities, and a jogging stroller for exercise-and use all three regularly, while others have one stroller and use it a few times a week.    And what baby products you use most also varies with the season and the age of your baby.    You might use a front carrier or sling every day until suddenly the baby's feet are almost reaching down to your knees and your back is starting to hurt! Or you might never have used a Baby Bottle until you begin to think about leaving the baby for more than an hour or two.    It's worth acquainting yourself with the baby products that are out there, even if you don't have an immediate need to fill.    When your needs change, they often change quickly.

If you find that the baby products you're using aren't working for you (like a stroller that is hard to wrestle into your car trunk), don't waste too much time and energy trying to adapt yourself to them when there is probably something out there that is better suited to you.    And the same goes for your baby.    To an adult, one Baby Bottle seems much the same as another, but babies may be more selective, not to say finicky! If one bottle or nipple shape doesn't suit, try another one.    And when you find the Baby Socks that seem to stay best on your baby's stubby little feet, be sure to buy a lot of them.    When something is designed just right for you, you'll know it and enjoy not having to spend time and energy to make it work, when you'd rather be spending that time and energy on the person who deserves it most-your baby.
